Interested in sharing your ideas with the world, through personalized websites? Wouldn’t it also be cool to interact with visitors on your own website? This comprehensive hands-on course empowers you to do all that, and much more! Students will be introduced to HTML (the backbone of all websites!), CSS (styling tools for website), and JavaScript ( add interactivity , with programming ), as they engage in progressive challenges and customise those to build their own blogs or webpages. They will also be introduced to other aspects of website designing, including file management, hosting, etc. Students will create multi-page websites of their choice, applying their learnings to present their thoughts in their own imaginative way. Enjoy the creative process, and develop a highly sought-after professional skill, that will give you an edge over the years to come!
What will my child learn?
- Appreciate the importance of Web Design and Website Development and understand how websites are built (including user interface)
- Understand various HTML components like tags, navigation, images, tables, divs, ids, etc and learn how to use them effectively for your website
- Learn how to style your web pages (color / text / size/ margins/ border etc)
- Independently develop your content (travel blogs/ science showcase / who I am ) and create your own style
- Display creative confidence to present and share their Websites with peers, friends, and family
- Understand computer science concepts like event handling(clicks, hover, etc), loops, conditionals, function calls, parameter passing in JavaScript.

- Build various guided and self-conceived Web pages, to understand & apply HTML/CSS/JavaScript design and programming basics
- Solve challenges of varying complexity to refresh and extend programming concepts learnt
- Plan, prototype, and create a webpage of choice, as mid-programme creative challenge

Duration: 15 classes of 60 minutes each*

On-campus delivery
Duration: 10 classes of 90 minutes each*

What is the journey a Create Lab student embarks upon?
The focus of our programmes is to empower 21st Century Skills: Creativity, Critical Thinking, Communication & Collaboration. Initially, we used Scratch as a platform to enable this. Subsequently, we also use tools and languages like MIT’s App Inventor, HTML 5, Python, etc. to enable students to create more sophisticated technology expressions, like apps, advanced games, websites, etc.
What are online classes? Why are they needed?
Online classes are fully interactive classes done through live video conferencing between the instructor and student. The instructor can see the student’s screen and provide feedback in real-time. The platform enables online quizzes too. Online classes complement our popular centre-based classes and are gaining interest in the current environment, where social distancing is preferred.
Who develops your programmes?
All our programmes are developed together with academics from Oxford, MIT & Singapore’s top universities. Our Academic Board has over 85 years of pioneering technology experience, has given TED talks and holds patents in areas such as artificial intelligence.

Individual online classes
By enrolling on a Create Lab conducted course, the student and his/her guardians acknowledge and agree to Create Lab’s Terms and Conditions as specified below.
- Enrolment, withdrawal, and refunds:
- Enrolment is confirmed, after Create Lab has received the course fees in full
- We allow our students to withdraw within the first two classes of the course registered. In such cases, the balance fees (net of fees for classes done) will be refunded in full
- No refunds will be processed after the student has completed the first two classes of the registered course
- Transfer to a different Create Lab course shall be enabled, at Create Lab’s discretion and on a case-by-case basis.
- Promotional codes cannot be combined with other existing or ongoing promotions unless specifically allowed by Create Lab
- Class rescheduling policy:
- Students can reschedule their class 2 times, for every block of 10 classes, provided Create Lab has informed a minimum of 12 hours in advance
- Rescheduling at shorter notice, will be at the discretion of Create Lab and be done on a case-by-case basis
- No shows (where a student does not log in at the scheduled time) will be considered as a completed class, and no makeup class will be scheduled. We will instead provide the student with digital reference materials from the class
- Create Lab reserves the right to update instructor allocation, course fees, course duration and curriculum content as deemed appropriate or necessary
- Create Lab may take video recordings of the class and its students for educational, training and/or promotional purposes. If you wish for you or your child to not be featured in any educational, training and/or promotional materials, please send us an email at hello@mycreatelab.com
- During a class, our instructor may need to remotely access your child’s computer, to troubleshoot any issue that may come up in class. This will only be done after specifically seeking your child’s permission and the remote access will be disabled as soon as the issue is resolved. You agree and consent to us and our instructors to gain remote control of your child’s screen in the class.
Group Online classes
By enrolling on a Create Lab conducted course, the student and his/her guardians acknowledge and agree to Create Lab’s Terms and Conditions as specified below.
